Ok.. Could not really find a picture of the outside of the place we are staying in in New York, so enjoy the skyline picture.
Finding some nice accommodation in New York cheaply proved difficult. A lot of the reports on HostelWorld said that quite a few places we would be sharing with rats. (I mean the little four legged friends)
This place has supposed to have been recently done up. It is in the Brooklyn part of the city so that should provide some culture shock to what the real America is like. The place looks pretty smart and the people who own the place seem friendly because I've had several communications with them. The facilities are pretty good. FREE internet for the laptop, and all you can eat breakfast.. Mmmmmm

So what are we going to do in New York?
Well one of the first things is that we will probably be hours in the airport going through immigration. After that has been done it will be a case of finding the accommodation and dumping the stuff.
The empire state building is one of the attractions that we need to go up. Well if it was good enough for King Kong it should be good enough for me and Lauren.
Seeing Miss Liberty is probably a must too.. Plus some shoe/clothes shopping for Lauren. Well it is New York after all.
